The Opportunity: As a Golf Starter, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our members and guests as they begin their rounds of golf. You will be the first point of contact for players, providing warm hospitality, organizing tee times, and ensuring a seamless start to their golfing experience. Your friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of golf etiquette will contribute to the overall exceptional service our club is known for.
Duties and Functions:

• Greeting golfers in a friendly and professional manner as they arrive at the club.
• Managing tee time reservations and ensuring an efficient flow of play.
• Providing golfers with accurate information about course conditions, local rules, and any special events.
• Assisting golfers with club rentals, if needed, and coordinating with the pro shop.
• Monitoring and coordinating the pace of play, addressing any slow play issues diplomatically.
• Ensuring that golfers adhere to the club's dress code and golf etiquette standards.
• Collaborating with the golf course marshal to manage on-course situations and maintain a smooth game flow.
• Handling any golfer inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintaining accurate records of tee times, golfer preferences, and other relevant information.
• Contributing to the overall cleanliness and presentation of the starting area.

Qualification Standards:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf course or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and course layout.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage tee times, player preferences, and course flow.
• Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required by the club's schedule.
